Manx2.com has announced that, due to growing demand for flights to and from Blackpool, additional services will be introduced from September 10th this year.

In a media release, issued by the airline, Manx2.com’s communications director James Filleul says, “Blackpool has historically been one of the main connections for Manx air passengers, and we think it is well on its way to getting there again. Since we started offering flights on the route in middle of last year the route has grown steadily, and we have increased our timetable yet again to cope with demand. Customers now have a choice of up to ten flights on weekdays, and forty eight flights across the whole week”.

The airline suggests that Blackpool is both an interesting destination in its own right and a useful gateway to parts of the North West of England or to further a field. Low cost airlines service routes from Blackpool to Prague, Faro and Malaga for example.

Best news ever. ÂŁ30 return isle of man to blackpool, brilliant. Hope you keep it up. You must be very popular with manx residents for helping people to get on and off the island at such reasonable rates. It\'s a pity the Steam Packet don\'t take notice and stop charging such extortionate rates, especially when taking a car.
