Children present murals to Ramsey Information Centre

A press release issued by Ramsey Town Commissioners describes a recent happy occasion when some murals, painted by pupils from Auldyn Infants School, were handed over to Mary Bruce, Chairman of RTC, to brighten up the entrance to the Lezayre Estate Redevelopment Information Centre.

The Commissioners were concerned that the exterior of the building looked some what unwelcoming and following a phone call to Auldyn head teacher, Mrs Christine Callaghan, an agreement was soon reached for the children to help rectify this issue.

Ply sheets were provided by the Commissioners and the children were asked to paint pictures of how they visualized the future redevelopment would look. The resulting ideas, and the work involved, are totally the efforts of the children.
