CAMRA IOM Pub of the Year award

An extremely chuffed Ray Corkhill, landlord of The Railway Inn public house in Union Mills, has received the local CAMRA branch’s top award – Pub of the Year.

The Railway fought off strong competition from runners-up The Woodbourne Hotel, Douglas, and The Trafalgar, Ramsey.

A runner-up last year, Ray was presented with the award by branch Chairperson, Angie Andrews, at a well attended social gathering held at the pub last night (Wednesday).

In accepting the award Ray said he felt honoured and privileged to receive the award and would treasure it greatly. He thanked his staff, the brewery for the support in supplying guest beers and, most of all, the CAMRA members for voting for him.
