The Filipino Association has two events planned in the coming weeks.

The first is a Halloween/Hop-tu-nee party at the Bushys Basement Bar of the Rovers Return in Douglas on Sunday 28th October commencing at 5.00pm.

The second event is planned for Saturday 3rd November, at Trinity Methodist Church in Bucks Road, Douglas and is an open forum event.

Entitled ‘Our Community – the way ahead”; the event follows on from the successful Ambassadorial outreach held in the Island in August of this year and the further visit of the Deputy Chief of Mission in September.

The notice for the meeting describes how the Filipino community has now been established on the Island for at least 20 years and they number about 1200.

How to further integrate into the main Island community and how mutual concerns can be addressed are some of the issues to be discussed.

Further details of these events including how to get tickets for the party on the 28th October are available on the FAIM website –  www.faimonline.com
