Climate Change ‘Conversation’ to be held at St John’s
How many people does it take to change to low-energy lights bulbs?
Most of us know what we should be doing about climate change but somehow we just don’t get round to putting it into practice. We would be more reassured if we felt other people were doing their bit as well. It would be more fun too.In a small community like the Isle of Man it should be possible to adapt and change our behaviour quickly.
That’s why residents of the St Johns area are being invited to get together and swap ideas on September 4th at 7pm in the St Johns Methodist Hall.
The meeting is being organised by Joe O’Hanlon and Dr Doug Fox who both have science backgrounds. But the main object of the meeting is for members of the community to exchange practical ideas and think what they can do to deal with the effects of climate change.
If you live in the area and have ideas about transport, recycling, local food, sustainable development, energy efficiency or any other ways to reduce your carbon footprint go along and get involved on September 4th
If you live outside St Johns you can still go along and share your ideas.
Afterwards you may want to do something similar in the place where you live.
Remember ‘None of us is smarter than all of us.’
