Latest draft of Island Strategic Plan unveiled

The Departmant of Local Government & the Environment has published the latest version of the draft Strategic Plan.

The latest version has been produced to address some of the criticism of the previous version, by the Independent Inspector and other interested parties, following the Public Inquiry held in March 2005.

The Department says that it commissioned further studies in relation to the availability of development land and the likely traffic impacts from development of the land.

Having considered the latest information the Department has reformulated the Spatial Strategy and, where appropriate, modified the draft Plan in response to the Inspector
