EU and UK ‘break-up’ debate at Manx Museum
Nigel Farage, the Deputy Leader of the EU Parliament's Independence and Democracy Party, and Leader of the UK Independence Party, will be visiting the Island on Thursday 15th May for speaking engagements. Nigel often participates in the BBC Any Questions programmes and is by far the most senior EU Parliamentarian to visit the Island.
His evening engagement is at the Manx Museum at 7:00pm for 7:30pm where he will be debating with Charles Cain.
The Motion is: ‘That this house believes that if the UK were to leave the EU the break-up of the UK is inevitable, thus requiring change in the Island's Constitutional Position.’
Dr Dick Horsnell, of the Manx European Union Realists Group, said; “It is very rare that the Island hosts a debate between two such distinguished speakers, on such a fundamental issue. This is a ‘must be there event’ and I hope you will be there. The implications of Scottish independence, from the UK, raises a lot of opportunities for the Island.”Rate this article
