Next phase of Tower of Refuge restoration to commence soon

The Department of Transport are intending to commence work on the re-pointing of the Tower of Refuge next Monday (23rd June).
This will entail scaffolding being erected all around the outside of the building to enable all the exterior work to be completed, hopefully by the end of September 2008.
Once this part of the work is completed, work to install external lighting to the structure will take place.
The DOT has said that the work, to the 12.5m tall tower, is dependent on the weather; not only for the undertaking of the work but also on being able to get on to the site.
