At , Saturday 7th July, Ramsey Town Commissioners will be officially opening the new skate park in the town.

According to a press release issued by the Commissioners, the park was completed in March and is apparently already drawing lots of fans from Ramsey and further a field.

The opening will follow with demonstrations by Lee Kessler (on BMX) and John Allison (on Skateboard).

Lee Kessler has been a BMX rider for approx 9 years, is sponsored by Limit Cycles and Revolutionz, has exhibited at the National Adventure Sports Show 2006 at the NEC, competed at Regional level given demonstrations and skateboard workshops throughout the UK.

John has been skateboarding for approx 15 years, has been sponsored by Essex Based Skatewear Retailers, Hoax, and competed at Regional Level and given demonstrations and skateboard workshops throughout the UK

Lee and John will give a 10-15 minute display, followed by about 1 hour of skateboard/bmx workshop covering how to use the park safely, skatepark etiquette, skate/bmx tricks etc.

It is hoped that fair weather will attract a good crowd of local skaters and that an entertaining and enjoyable afternoon will be had by all.
