Eastern Airways nominated for ‘Best Domestic Airline’ Award
UK regional airline, Eastern Airways, which flies to and from the Isle of Man, reports that they have been nominated for a prestigious travel industry award in the category ‘Best UK domestic airline for business’.
They say, in a press release, that the Buying Business Travel Diamond Awards 2009 are one of the most valued and respected of travel accolades, representing the views of the industry’s most important customers. This includes company travel buyers, arrangers and travel agents that secure the best service from suppliers.
Eastern, who fly from the Isle of Man to Birmingham and Newcastle, is apparently renowned for providing schedules and timings tailored for the business community.
In July this year Eastern Airways announced it was rated the UK’s most punctual scheduled airline and this latest nomination was selected by a panel of business travel journalists.
“To be short-listed for the best domestic business airline award is a tremendous achievement in itself,” said Rob Thompson, Eastern Airways’ commercial director.
He continued, “This nomination is a great testament to the outstanding efforts of our teams on the ground and in the air and demonstrates that our high quality domestic services meet the needs of business travellers.”
The airline has been operating flights from the Isle of Man since 2003 and flies from a total of 18 UK and European airports.
