Never mind “smell the coffee” how about “smell the stink of corruption” emanating from the Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading (Ombudsman Office) and Financial Supervision Commission who have steadfastly refused to act in the matter of the directors of the Island based Premier Low Risk Fund plc selling an investment fund in the EU without a licence with the assistance of similarly unlicensed persons.

Hundreds of EU pensioners were persuaded to transfer their life savings to the Isle of Man by the director's advice .... including the Fund offered “Capital Security” & Guarantees” similar to a Building Society - and only minor exit charges.

The pensioners lost up to 40% of their “capital” and were forced to loose another 28% in a hidden exit charge.

The announcement that Chief Minister, Tony Brown will now seriously consider the proposals contained in the “Report into the Scope and Structure of Government” for improving the efficiency of government is long overdue.

However Mr Brown has known about the misery and despair of hundreds of pensioners for at least five years if he can’t smell this stench then he will never be able to smell coffee!
