The Positive Action Group will start 2009 with what could be a first for the Isle of Man - a Chief Minister's ‘Question Time'.

This ‘coup’ for the P A G will be held at 7.30 p.m. Monday 26th January 2009 at the Manx Legion Club, Market Hill, North Quay, Douglas.

Chair of P A G, Roger Tomlinson comments: “At this free public meeting members of the public could have a unique opportunity of asking a question direct to IoM Chief Minister, Mr Tony Brown.”

Mr Tomlinson went on to say: “This is a wonderful chance for residents to engage in dialogue with our top politician. These are difficult uncertain times and many are concerned about public services provision and the future of the Island”.

The format of the event will be very similar to that of BBC ‘Question Time’, but with only one panelist; and Mr Brown will not be given prior knowledge of questions. In order to structure the discussion, questions should be submitted, before Saturday 24th January 2009, to: info@positiveactiongroup.org  or Tel: 863106.

P A G members will be given priority in having questions asked, and time constraints may mean that not every question submitted will be considered.

The Manx Legion Club is a new venue for P A G. It has the advantage of having a reasonably priced pay bar for drinks, including tea and coffee, as well as car parking nearby.

Everyone is welcome and admission is free, but it is requested that you book a place beforehand by email: info@positiveactiongroup.org or Tel: 863106.
